Do league volunteers need sports management software?

My experience as a board member for a league that was run by paper forms.

For many years I would spend 30 or more hours a week at one point or another managing registration, payments, scheduling, and umpire officials for my local baseball league, www.mmbrb.org.  I remember my first year on the board hearing two old timers discussing how they always need information from the registrar who had all of the leagues registration data in an Excel spreadsheet.  The registrar was constantly updating the information, but it was never getting out to the board members.  This meant that anytime a board member wanted a player, parent, coach, umpire, referee, or volunteer phone number or email address the registrar was constantly interrupted by a phone call, text, or in some cases a stop by their house.

Sports Online Registration unhappy.

It was even more unorganized when it came to our leagues scheduling.  Luckily we had a math genus that was very good with Excel, so through some digital origami was able to create a schedule maker that would calculate schedules for each division.  The schedules where printed out and handed to the coaches during the player draft where the coaches sat around a table and picked their team.  That was the last time the schedules on that printed paper were accurate.  Then the rain outs, school functions, and holidays scrambled the schedule.  Although they tried to get the registrar to email outdated schedules, they ran into getting blocked by many of the national email providers.

This lead to constant turn over of the board volunteers because it was exhausting to be a sports club volunteer.  Not to mention the loss of knowledge and in many cases the loss of the leagues data.

So year 2 my company volunteered to write a basic online registration engine.  After several years all of our local baseball, soccer, football, and softball leagues used it so we started to sell it to them.  Now after 20 year we have developed the most comprehensive sports league management software that includes online registration, schedule maker, officials (umpire & referee), volunteer management, stats, standings, events, clinics, resource scheduling and rental, as well as evaluations of coaches and officials.

The end result is the most complete and comprehensive Sports League Management software on the market.  Take a look at www.ManageYourLeague.com to get your league setup with a website, online registration, schedule maker, and much more.
